President's Cup
January 5th marked a resounding success for our curling double night. The first of 8 players who arrive will be the ones to initiate the opening matches every Friday at 6:30, barring any other scheduled events. Furthermore, a second round of curling is scheduled to kick off around 8:00, triggered by the completion of four rounds by one of the teams. This arrangement provides flexibility for participants unable to attend the early game, allowing them to join in later for the second round of matches.
Le 5 janvier a marqué un succès retentissant pour notre double soirée de curling. Les premiers des 8 joueurs arrivés seront ceux qui lanceront les premiers matchs tous les vendredis à 18h30, sauf autres événements programmés. De plus, un deuxième tour de curling est prévu vers 20h00, déclenché par l'achèvement de quatre tours par l'une des équipes. Cet arrangement offre une certaine flexibilité aux participants qui ne peuvent pas assister à la première partie, en leur permettant de se joindre plus tard à la deuxième série de matchs.

Employees from the Community National Bank in Newport made their way north to participate in a curling clinic
Saturday October 21st. The Border Curling Club in Beebe (Stanstead) Quebec, is situated right on the US/Canada border
a few feet from Derby(Derby Line) Vermont. The Club serves both countries in a bilingual environment.
The clinic participants spent over 2 hours learning to slide, sweep and curl with three excellent instructors.
Curling is a sport that combines strategy, skill and teamwork. An ideal, affordable winter activity from October
to April that is enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.
Whether you are a seasoned athlete or complete beginner, our club offers a welcoming and inclusive environment
for everyone to enjoy.
The club provides equipment for folks wishing to try it out. Attend our Opening Bonspeil for free October 27- 28th .

Rock of Ages Team Building Event at the Border Curling Club

On Oct. 20, Rock of Ages Canada, the granite company located in Beebe(Stanstead), held a team building event for their employees.
Rock of Ages, founded in 1885 in Vermont and now owned by Polycor Inc. in Quebec City, produce handcrafted cemetery monuments made from the finest granite and marble. Polycor Inc has become one of the largest producers of marble and granite in North America.
Hosted by the Border Curling Club and situated just across the street from the company , 50 employees learnt the fundamentals of curling from four qualified curling instructors. Curling is a sport that combines strategy, skill and teamwork. The group spent over two hours sliding, sweeping and curling. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or complete beginner, curling is an ideal sport for team building as it offers an inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.
The Border Curling club wishes to invite more local businesses to combine team building with curling .
